Wrinkles around mouth

Eek... I have noticed that my mom is getting wrinkles around her mouth. She has always been really good about using cream and moisturizer. I'm sure I will get them too. What can I do to not follow in her footsteps?

Is she a cigarette smoker? I noticed that I was starting to get them a few years before I quit. Just about everyone I know who has them is also a smoker. Once I quit they slowly started to disappear (it has been three years now). :)

I have read somewhere that having lines around the mouth could be a genetic thing, but there are ways to prevent it. Protect your skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen everyday. As chabella mentioned, if you are a cigarette smoker, then maybe it's time to quit. Eat foods that help increase collagen. Collagen is vital for skin elasticity and firmness.

Nope, neither of us are smokers. What kinds of food help increase collagen? I will start to eat them right away (once I figure out what they are).
