Hair of the dog

I thought it was interesting. The term "the hair of the dog that bit you" refering to the hangover cure comes from an ancient belief that ingesting the hair of the dog that literally bit you could gaurd against infection.

May I just say to that "Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww". Now, as far as hair is concerned, there are a lot of old remedies that came by way of "I heard of" and "I know someone". It can be quite difficult sometimes to separate the two but I believe this one I think I can say-I'm not going to try.
