What are some of the primary differences between what men need and what women need in the way of herbal additives to their foods and medications? Other than baby-making equipment and hormonal issues, aren't they similar? Even men these days want pretty skin.
Yes, there are major differences due to the fact we give birth. Yes, all of us have hormones and a glandular system. Yes men can have thyroid issues. BUT the main difference is the type and amount needed for our gender. So hate to break the news, but gender and how our body metabolize are different.
Sadly like others have said, there are differences. The thing that most often comes to mind is Iron. Men process it more slowly the females and often can have a build up. While females may often lack iron. Testosterone is another difference. While we may be similar, chemistry wise we are different.
There are also difference created due to hormones such as the way a woman's brain and nervous system are formed versus a man's. And there are the differences caused by the support system a woman needs for that baby making equipment versus what a man would. So there are actually quite a lot of things to be considered when taking gender into account as far as health is concerned.
The primary difference is hormonal, men have testosterone and women have estrogen, these two hormones effect the body in completely different ways. However, most of the differences are cosmetic and what works for women will work for men too.
Beside of the differences cause by body composition, the dissimilarities can also be the result of the diversity in hobbies.Men are more likely to drink beer and eat meat much more than women.I guess that's why they suffer from diseases more frequent, and the need of medications is also rising at an alarm rate.
