We would have to ask what type of benefit you are looking for. ie, some essential oils are strongly antibacterial, can help maintain wellness by killing germs; others are antiviral or antifungal. Then there are the emotional effects...the citrus oils, for example, have been tested and proven to be anti-depressants, real mood uplifters. Others... lavender, green mandarine, etc. are sedatives that can help with insomnia. Some, properly used, can help with nerve and joint pain, or muscle pain. Others have a use in skin care; some can help with respiratory problems. Lavender and/or peppermint can help with various types of headaches; ginger, mandarine or peppermint can help with nausea... the list goes on.
