Glad she caught it in a blood test. It usually goes undetected, leading to weaker bones and can even be a cause for early arthritis. You will see dramatic results with your fatigue and aching bones within a couple of weeks of taking a D3 supplement. The dose I take is rather high - 5000 units, but I take it just twice a week or so.
Try and get your doctor to arrange a bone density test too. This might throw up results of any early onset of arthritis, and the health of your joints
