Chillies

I had a lot of fresh chillies that I dried and I'm now using them regularly in casseroles. Does anyone know of any benefits to eating chilli? Is it good for you or bad for you? Is there any reaction to watch out for?

I think chillies are good when taken moderately. It contains a lot of vitamin C, but I wonder if the vitamin would remain there after you dried the chillies.

I just read an article about chili peppers. They contain the substance Capsaicin, which can reduce the risk of stroke and coronary heart disease. It is in the white veins and seeds. It is also helpful for loosening mucus blockage of the throat and nose, as well as sinusitis.

Have a great day
I read an article a while back saying spicy foods, like chili peppers help with weight loss.

It seems that there are a lot of benefits so I'll keep using them. My husband has had three heart attacks so perhaps I should be giving him more chilli? Luckily he likes it!
