    Liquid fasting?

Not at all. I get sick on coconut! Anyway, I have some stomach problems thanks to some past surgery, and I have to be very careful as a result with what I eat. I wouldn't like to mess with this.

    Glucosamine

There have been studies that show that when taking glucosamine chondroitin that there is a risk of poor sugar control in type 2 diabetes. Other studies however, that use the HbA1c levels show no difference. So it seems fairly inconclusive, but unlikely to do long term damage.

    Doctor Support

How many of you here have a Western doctor who willing supports your use of herbal supplements, and herbal medicines? Do you see anyone else for your herbal support?

    Dishwashing soap

That's what I use-the Eco brand. I would worry about messing up my expensive dish washing machine by putting the wrong thing in it. It's not used all that often, but I wouldn't be without it.

    Meditation

Try and find a corner of your garden if you haven't the room in your house. That way you can be close to nature as well, and it can be even more soothing than just being in your favourite place.

    Ear Infections

There are a couple of options. Borage seed oil is naturally anti-inflammatory, as is lavender (also incredibly soothing, as it's analgesic). Chamomile can help too, and it makes a little more pleasant a solution than just the garlic mullein.

    Children's Vitamins

Commercial kid vitamins contain and awful lot of rubbish! Are there any nature vitamin supplements that a child could take instead, that would be more healthy?

No kids forum so posting here

Yes-at least half. Just like any medicine, kids can't handle a full dose. Also-please reconsider putting eucalyptus in the bath. That stuff can feel intensely cold on the skin, and can irritate-almost sting. It's ideal in a hot bathroom, but I'd fill the sink with hot water and drop it there...

    Colors and health

Yes. I've long had very set preferences, and these do extend to my home as well. I have tried something new a few times, and it didn't work out and had to be fixed.

    Probiotics

There is a lot of evidence that the appendix acts as a natural reservoir for the natural gut flora. I don't think that people need to worry so much about it after the treatment, but there is a benefit to yoghurt during treatment, as it helps offset the runs.

    Bad Herbal Combinations

Are there any herbs that when taken together-or within a few hours of each other, might cause a problem? Some that might interact negatively?

I'm not so sure about chiropractors

The hip condition was pre-existing in this case though, I wouldn't blame them. But no, I wouldn't trust them. I have a friend who had a rib broken by a rough adjustment.

    Turmeric can prevent strokes

Isn't this another thing though, where many of the benefits are lost when it is cooked into food? I'm sure I'd read that somewhere, which is pretty much the same for everything.

    Pet Dangers

Are there any herbs that we are likely to grow in the home, or the home garden that are dangerous to our companion animals?

    Craving milk

A lot of people believe (myself included) that cravings suggest a nutritional deficiency. In this case, maybe it really is calcium. Either way I wouldn't ignore it, as long as it is not causing problems.

    Poison vs Poison

That's a different thing again. The same goes for stinging nettles and dock leaves-or the leaves of the nettle themselves if you cannot find dock. When grasped firmly it won't sting, you then crush it and use the juice to treat the itch. But that's old wive's medicine.

    Essential Oils - prices

Nice prices I agree. The one thing that I have learned when it comes to aromatherapy is that you cannot scrimp on price. Purity is important, and is always going to cost you.

    Convenient Nutrition

My local store has started to stock packs of pre-prepped organic veg. This are things like leeks, rutabaga, parsnips, onions, carrots and so on. The convenience is awesome on busy days-but how bad could the nutrient loss be from them being done like this?

    Buried under ice and snow!

We are now having Spring bulbs start to sprout. The daffodils are getting quite tall actually-my favourite time of year. Sorry to rub it in guys ;) We had some horrible snow, but it's gone now.

    Morning Habit

I have no good morning habits. In fact, I just about manage to get my daughter out of the door for school. I won't have had a drink, or any food at that point, and not for another hour or two in fact.
