Does Tea Tree Oil Go Bad?

Do you know if tea tree oil spoils or becomes rancid if you've had it for a while? I have had some for quite a while and it smells different. Should I throw it away or is it still OK to use even if it smells different?

    Drying Sage

I know that much of sage we buy in the stores is the rubbed sage which has been processed to a fine powder like consistency. But I have some that I grew in the garden this summer and I was wondering how I would dry it and process it for use. Do I try to pound it into a fine powder after it's dried?

    Lye Soap-Granny's Cure All

My grandmother used to use lye soap for everything. She would use it to bathe use after we were in weeds to make sure we didn't break out with poison ivy, she would use it on scratches saying if we cleaned them that way they wouldn't get infected. She also used it on us to make sure we didn't...

    Ticks

We live in the middle of a national forest and we have some rather heavily wooded areas. Our cats are indoor/outdoor because there is nothing here to hurt them since we are so far from the road. But, they do get a lot of deer ticks on themselves. What is the best way to remove these little...

    Continuing Ear Infections

My granddaughter continues to get ear infections time after time. I am really concerned they give her antibiotics again and again. My daughter gives her yogurt to counteract some of the side effects of the antibiotics but it can't be good to be on antibiotics every 6 weeks or so. Any suggestions?

We have a little Pomeranian who is having a horrible time with arthritis in her front and back legs. I don't know why she is having such a hard time because she is so tiny. But she can hardly walk sometimes. Is there something herbal I can give to her to ease her pain?

    Vitamin D

I've heard that if you take vitamin D on a regular basis, not only will you cut your chance of osteoporosis, but you will also prevent sunburn. Can someone confirm this for me. I sunburn time and again and I sure hope it's true.

    Garlic Antibacterial?

I've heard if you eat garlic that you will have much less chance of having colds. I haven't tried it because I don't know if I can stand the garlic all of the time. I like it in small quantities but I understand you have to eat quite a bit for it to work. Has anyone heard of this?

    Homemade Cough Syrup?

My mother in law has been telling me I need to make up some homemade cough syrup for the winter. She uses whiskey, rock candy, and lemon and mixes it up. I admit it does thin the phlegm in your throat when you take it but wouldn't this be dangerous to use? She says it will "cut the crud" out of...

    Aloe Vera

I've heard that taking aloe vera internally can help diabetics to control their blood sugar. Has anyone else ever tried this? I have been thinking about it but I am cautious about changing my routine at the moment since I have my blood sugar finally under control.

    Speaking of Shedding Fur...

...has anyone heard of yarn spun from your dog's shed fur? I've decided to cut my Pomeranian's fur back to an inch and I want to spin her fur into yarn and then make something to keep from it. I would love to make a scarf or something of the sort to keep for when she passes.
