Yes, you absolutely can make handcrafted shampoo and body wash very similar to how cold process soap is made. The main difference is you must use potassium hydroxide with shampoo and sodium hydroxide with cold process soap. There are a few other ingredients that differ as well. If you want a simpler version of making shampoo there are plenty of recipes out there on the net but these are usually runnier and not like what we typically want in a shampoo consistency. Usually they not have a long shelf life either. Here is a good link to get started.
