Purchasing items

Where can you purchase all the items for making your own soap? A friend of my mom's made her own soap and she gave us some before and I absolutely loved it so I wanted to try out making some myself.

I really like soapgoods.com because they have a variety of products and cashback rewards (called Sudzpoints). Bulkapothecary.com is also good because they are cheap and have a large inventory.

I've been thinking about doing this same thing because I love homemade soaps. Thanks for listing these sites I'll go and check them out and see what all I need to get going.

If you are going to purchase the glycerin soap base, you can find it at craft stores. I'm pretty sure Hobby Lobby and Michael's both have it! You can also buy everything online, of course, possibly for a cheaper price.

The healthiest way to purchase the ingredients you need to make soap is to go to a health food store. Although you can buy ingredients from Hobby Lobby and Michaels it won't have the natural ingredients that you may want. I buy all my products from shampoo, toothpaste and food from the natural health food store in my town. I love that place!

I always buy mine online. Btatro had a good idea about checking with local craft stores, too. I don't have any in my area, so I'm kind of limited to ordering online, but Hobby Lobby and the like would surely have some. And then you wouldn't have to pay for shipping, too!

The best place I've found for buying everything you need to make soap is www dot wholesalesuppliesplus dot com They sell EVERYTHING, including scented oils and molds. There is lots of good training info on there as well.

There are many stores online which specialise in soap making. Shop around online to find the best prices and offer. I use Bulkapothecary.com.
