When is the best time of year to prune herbs? I have some sage that is taking over and some mint that really looks scraggly. The oregano is just everywhere. Any advice?
I think you cut the mint back before the frost, but I might be way off on that. I don't know a heck of a lot about pruning, which plants need it and when.
I'm not an expert either but I just trim mine back when ever they look like they need it. Some I have growing in pots and don't want them to get very big.
Thanks for all the advice. I have been cutting that oregano back unmercifully any time of year and it just keeps coming back. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong.
