Kits

I've seen candle making kits at craft stores like Hobby Lobby. Has anybody ever bought one? I would love to start making my own candles because I burn through so many of them, but I don't want to make something cheesy and I'm not sure the kits would be the quality I'm looking for.

I've bought a kit from Michael's (or JoAnn's) before. I don't remember how expensive they are, but it would probably be a good way to start. After I tried out the kit, I bought a lot of things to make my own candles...I just never got a chance to use them.

I started off by using one from Amazon.com I believe. It worked fairly well.

There are a few places that sell kits for all types of natural remedies and the such, but the issue is many also get you hooked on them. Sending out little goodies, booklets and even pictures of the types of herbs, etc.

This sounds like a good hobby for my wife to get into. She loves candles, especially the scent, and I think she'd get a kick out of making her own.
