    Gunky

You must have picked up a cold. Drink lots and lots of water as that will help thin out the mucus, which makes it easier to expel and to breathe. A warm weak tea wash (just ordinary black tea) cleans the crusty eyes and prevents infection from setting in.

    unpleasant smells

I love that store, but it can be overwhelming if a lot of customers have been spritzing the testers. Otherwise, my local shop is usually pretty light on the smells. I think they have good ventilation. I don't like all of their fragrances, but they do have some nice ones.

    Scars and Cold Weather

Yes, scars can hurt with cold weather. I don't know why that is, to be honest, but I've noticed it with my surgical scar. I actually thought I had developed adhesions a couple of years ago, because it hurt so much, but it went away when the severe cold snap did.

    Blood in Stools

That's pretty bad hemorrhoids, though. I'm surprised that the blood was the only symptom you had, as it would seem like that would have to be pretty painful if it was bad enough to bleed. I've dealt with hemorrhoids off and on, since having children, and it can be terribly uncomfortable.

How Many Cups of Tea a Day?

Any drink that is caffeinated does not count as fluid intake. Caffeine is a diuretic. My doctor always told me that I should have two glasses of fluid for every one cup of caffeinated beverage. You're better off drinking water and clear juices.

    Allergies

Allergies tend to run in families, although science hasn't come to the conclusion that there is a genetic component. Did you know, that if you have allergies, breastfeeding for at least the first 6 weeks can protect your child from allergies? My oldest doesn't have any allergies like I do and...

    What is lemongrass?

I read that it's one of the easiest culinary herbs to grow, but honestly, I've never used it or tasted it, as far as I know. I'm guessing that it has a lemony flavor from the name? What type of cooking would it be good for?

    Odd issue after checkup

This is actually very, very common. I wouldn't be concerned unless it worsens or becomes painful. I doubt that it's related to the IUD, but it's possible, I suppose.

    Growing stevia instead of buying

Yes, you can dry and then pulverize the leaves to get the white powder like you can buy. That's the only waystevia will sweeten something cold so I plan on doing both. I haven't checked my local nurseries yet, but I read that you buy the seedlings from nurseries as it's very difficult to start...

    Eating Meat

I'm not saying it's just you, but this isn't something I've noticed. I'm definitely an omnivore, so I eat meat, but I don't eat large quantities of it. That may make a difference, perhaps.

    Growing stevia instead of buying

I just found out that you can grow stevia - did you know that? Have you done it? You can put the leaves right in a hot liquid for sweetening so it's perfect for teas without having to do any processing.

    opposite coffee reactions

It's not an opposite effect, just a difference in how individuals metabolize caffeine. I could drink coffee at night when I was younger, but as I get older, I have a lower tolerance. Now, if I have caffeine after 2 pm, I will have a hard time sleeping at night. It seems to stay in my system...

    Treadmill is so boring

This is exactly why I don't have a treadmill. When I walk, I want to go somewhere and see something in order to keep my mind occupied. When I used to walk daily, I would go to the mall and walk the halls whenever the weather was too bad to be outside.

Natural treatment for sunburn or sun damaged skin

You aren't getting a strong enough sunblock or applying it properly if you're going to burn no matter what. It's not good for you to know you're going to burn and then treat it after. You're super increasing you and your daughter's risk for skin cancers. Get the highest sunblock you can find...

    Calming, mind-clearing scents

I would like to create my own scent for my meditation and yoga practice times. I would like to include oils for calming, relaxation and releasing negative energy. If there is a scent known to attract positive energy, I'd like that, too. Which essential oils would correspond to what I want?

    home made gifts

I do a lot of different crafts so I make a lot of gifts for people. I've also made some food items on occasion, either by making the mix and giving it with the directions, or by making the item like candies or cookies. That's neat that you're doing a painting - how did you manage to avoid him...

    Placenta encapsulation

I would have to see some proof of this being useful before even considering it. You can find a study that shows just about anything you want, but real facts come out over time with multiple studies and tests. Do you have any links to more information about this?

    So many toxins

Not only can we not totally escape toxins from the soil, water and air, but many of us are making things far worse inside our homes every day. The cleaning chemicals we use are the least of it. Unless you're using all natural personal care products, you are polluting your body and the air in...

Natural supplement to improve memory and concentration?

I have ADHD but I refuse to use the drugs they gave me before. They did help, but they killed my appetite and I ended up dehydrated because the medication took away my sense of thirst, also. There must be natural herbs or supplements that can help with ADHD - do you know of any?

    Dieting and Depression?

Why does the food have no taste? Have you tried adding seasoning? Herbs and spices usually don't add any calories but can perk up the tastebuds. Food should be enjoyable and flavorful. I don't know how you could say 'rich foods' and 'no taste' and not realize that those two don't match up.
