    Freekeh

I can't say that I have heard of it. Where do you buy it at and is it considered a health food? I guess I will need to go on line to check it out a little more thoroughly.

    Methods for splinter removal

I had breaking a glass, especially on a tile floor. It seems like you are always finding pieces and it is usually with your foot if you are barefoot! Lyra, I'll have to try that baking soda trick for a splinter, never heard of it before.

    Acorn squash

This is something that I haven' fixed in a long time. I bake it to with a little butter on it but also add some cinnamon along with some pecans. It almost taste like a dessert when it's done. :)

    African mango seed extract?

Has anyone here taken this before? I've heard that it is suppose to be good for you and also help in weight loss. I've been trying to do some research on it and haven't found anything bad about as yet. Just wondered if some of you might know a little about it.

    Valentine's Day Stuff Already?

Well about the time that Valentine's Day gets here they will start putting out the Easter stuff! It does get on my nerves when they start putting out all the holiday things so early.

    I can't believe our weather!

It's has been beautiful the past few days and suppose to continue for a few more. We've hit the eighties and the lows for morning have been in the sixties. I know it probably won't last but will enjoy it while we have it. :)

How many cats do you have?

Nice to see we have so many cat lovers here. I also know some that don't really like cats Hyacinth. Some are just cat people and some aren't.

    Are Smoothies Good for You?

I'm not much of a smoothie drinker but I know there are a lot of healthy ones out there for you. Mostly it depends on how you make them and what you put in them. You might do a research on line for healthy ones. :)

Pain in the Back of the Thighs

That could be possible, just to much walking. It could also be a pulled muscle. If it doesn't go away in a few days or feel like it is getting better you might want to get it checked out.

    Rosemary

I've got a nice rosemary plant growing in my kitchen window and am wanting to make some rosemary chicken. Does anyone have a good rosemary chicken recipe? Can you take the herb right from the plant or do you need to dry it first? Thanks.

    My aching butt

Ouch! I hope you aren't to sore today? Hopefully you have just a big bruise and that's all. I've heard of some cracking their tail bone like that and it can be very painful.

    Great Northern Beans

Well I think that is great. :) Especially since I don't really like tomatoes but love northern beans. I can make a meal out of those with some onion and ham cooked in with them and served with some yellow rice.

    Incense

I love it but don't burn a lot of it around the house because we have cats. I have heard that some of the aromatherapy oils can be very toxic to cats. Their respiratory system isn't the same as dogs and I don't 'think' it bothers them.

    Flu shots

This is something that I have never had done before. Does it really help to get a flu shot every year? I know some that swear by them and wouldn't think of skipping a year. What is the best time of year to get one?

    Ham broth

I love saving the bone from a ham and making vegetable soup. It's one of my favorites and I always try to make sure there is a nice amount of meat left on the bone. Cooking other fresh vegetables with this is also good. (I love northern beans cooked this way too!)
