    Herb cozies

    I hadn't thought of that. Maybe someone makes them and sells them. I don't even have a sewing machine, and these would definitely require a machine. Thanks for the suggestion, Lilly.

    Lethargy and staying inside

    My doctor prescribed the Vitamin D in the first place, and it really did help me last year. I'm trying not to get back into that shape again. I know we're not close enough in the winter to the sun to even begin to get enough Vitamin D in the winter, even if we're out most of the day.

    Slippers were the first thing I ever learned to knit. I imagine the crocheted ones would go more quickly. I wish I were on your gift list. I love those little wool slippers.

    Using my timer to force the exercise

    I'm on a kick at last. I set my timer by my computer for an hour. At the end of the hour, I reset it for twenty minutes. During those 20 minutes I have to walk, do sit-ups, leg lifts, various exercises, get water and take a quick trip to the bathroom before I can get back on my computer. So far...

    Unscented Candle?

    I'm always picking up old candles on sale just for this purpose. I go out of my way to get the unscented ones. The smaller ones I melt down and make great big ones to go in those tall glass vases during power outages.

    Lethargy and staying inside

    It's winter again, and the tendency is to stay indoors. So we're not getting enough sunlight and the old Vitamin D worries kick in. I've started taking over-the-counter Vitamin D and hope it kicks in soon. I'm really lethargic lately.

    I'll watch out for that brand, Lyra. I've not been shopping yet. There was also a show not long ago where Dr. Oz was touting the benefits of krill. I just can't remember what he was saying about the differences.

    Glycerin or Not?

    I like the glycerin in the few soaps I've had that used it. I'm not sure what it's for. Maybe it's for extra moisture. At any rate, I don't object to it.

    Good for you, chabella! I wish I had a dose of extra energy right now. I've a lot of things that need doing, but I just can't bring myself to get started. I'm glad you're feeling better.

    I've long read about the benefits of fish oil. I've read more recently that taking krill oil is even better. So which should I go with? How do others decide?

    How sluggish is he? Have you tried taking a walk with him and increasing his exercise? I don't know much about thyroid problems in dogs.

    The worst part is that you have to pay so much to the newspaper for the ad. Our paper charges about $25 just to list a yard sale. That's a big chunk out of your profit.

    My brother-in-law is one of the most relaxed people I've ever met. He's in his 60s now and has meditated daily since he was in his 20s. Something about it must work.

    Vick's really does best when you need your airways opened up. My mother used to rub it on my chest before I went to bed. I've not heard of this product before, but if it's Vick's, it's love.

    We make lace cookies every year, and everyone looks forward to receiving them. How can butter, flour and sugar ever be wrong if it's crisp and melts in your mouth?
