    Brain Respiration

    I just finished reading Brain Respiration written by Ilchi Lee. It's a good and inspiring book I think, though many of the exercise and meditation techniques explained in this book based on the ancient Indian and Chinese concepts of cakras and meridians, instead of new concepts.

    Hate milk

    Yes, broccoli is a great source of calcium. I read that it has a high calcium absorption rate (about 52%). The other good alternative of calcium sources are brussel sprouts, mustard greens and turnip greens.

    Well, I am not sure about that but some people said that there are signs like the colors of your finger nails and your eyes that indicate vitamin levels in your body.

    Eye problems

    My job requires me to work on the computer several hours a day, and though I use an LCD instead of a CRT screen, I still concern about my eye health. What could eye problems be caused by the working style? Is there any herb I can take to prevent them?

    Favorite movies?

    I am not a big fan of Bollywood movies. They are great in reflecting Indian culture, but they are just way too long. You have to spend at least 3 hours to watch a Bollywood movie.

    Eating organic?

    Yes I know the advantages of organic food over the non organic one, and the only thing keeping me from shopping it is the price. I think it just follow the supply and demand law. I hope more farmers go organic so that there is more organic food available on the market.

    Herbs For Dry Skin

    You can try sprouts as they are are rich of vitamin E and other nutrients. If you make your own sprouts, it's better to take them uncooked to get the maximum benefit of the sprouts.

    Morning or evening?

    Actually it's advisable to do yoga in both times, but I just don't get enough time so I try to do it either in the morning or evening. I notice that in the evening my body is more flexible and ready to do yoga.

    What's your object of concentration in your meditation? There are several objects of concentration like light, sound, and breath. Among those objects, the most powerful is sound. In yogic system of meditation we use mantra as a tool to concentrate our mind.

    Generally you are not to do yoga postures during menstrual period or pregnancy. But I notice there are certain modified postures geared pregnant women which will help them to give birth more easily.

    Growing Orchids

    I am not aware that there is any orchid which has health benefits. I think they are grown for aesthetic purposes only. Of course it's also indirectly beneficial for your overall health.

    I would just tell them that it works for me and it maybe or maybe not work for them but it's worth to give a try. I wouldn't waste time to explain them more than that.

    Morning allergies

    In the past, I used to sneeze and snort every morning. It's a bit better after I started practicing yoga, and now the morning allergy symptoms just occasionally occur, but the allergy is still there. Is there any herbs I can take to completely get rid of the problem?

    Making your own juice.

    Yes, getting both a juicer and blender, I usually make my own juice. My favorite is carrot juice, but I like to combine pineapples with avocados or bananas. Ripped pineapples are very sweet so that you don't need to add sugar in your juice.

    Weight loss

    That's interesting, Cindy. So which is the better way of losing weight, speeding up your metabolism so that you can eat normally without gaining weight or suppressing your appetite so that you tend to take less food?
