What's The Difference?

I've been meaning to ask this for some time but I keep forgetting to ask. This summer, I had the opportunity to buy some "catmint". I have heard of catnip, but is catmint the same thing? I would think it would be especially since my cats went wild over it. They almost killed it by chewing 0n and sleeping on it.

I think catmint is different. I may be misremembering, but I think my mother-in-law used to grow this in her garden. I'd be interested in knowing what you find out about what this herb might be good for.

I have never heard of catmint. I would be interested to know more too. Is it safer for cats? I think I read somewhere that catnip is not that safe. I think I will ask the vet at their next appointment.
