That is admirable that you want to workout again. I think you may have been a bit too excited perhaps. You could have stressed yourself and pulled a muscle. I would take it easy. Soak in epsom salts and perhaps use some ice on your back. Make sure you stretch and warmup before diving back into a workout.

Take it slow my friend, your body will need several weeks to adjust to your new regiment. So a good rule of thumb for you in the beginning would be it it hurts don't do it that day, and you should be fine.
