Sand

My mother went to the beach today and came back noticing that her feet were slightly smoother, from what she thinks is the sand rubbing rough spots off her feet. Is she right? I would have thought sand would be too fine to do anything substantive to your callouses and whatnot.

Well it does make sense if you think about it. If you are doing a lot of walking along the beach, especially along the water's edge where the sand is wet, it could help some like that.

I am guessing a huge and free exfoliating massage is what she got. You can not really beat free either, unless you include that it was a free beach she got to visit!

It would be fine for exfoliating, some places actually sell a scrub that you can buy over the counter (or web) that does this. At least at the beach its free!
