Rapini

Our Italian neighbors grow most of their vegetables, and last Sunday they gave us rapini. It was already cooked - sauteed in olive oil and garlic. It was actually my first time to eat rapini. I was afraid to try it before because I had heard that it has this bitter taste. Surprisingly, their rapini wasn't bitter at all. Do you eat rapini? How do you cook it?

I've never even heard of rapini, actually. Can you describe what type of vegetable this is? I love most vegetables and would love to try a new one, especially if I can grow it myself.

I had to look this one up. I've never heard of rapini. According to Wikipedia it's much like turnip greens. I guess if you like turnip greens, then you will like rapini. I've never had greens sauted in olive oil and garlic though. Something I will have to try.
