Pain Radiating Down Back of the Thigh

For two days now, I have felt this pain which starts from my left buttock down to the back of my left thigh. I can't think of any recent physical activity that might have triggered such pain. I wonder what's causing it.

That sounds like sciatic pain to me. Perhaps you pinched the nerve recently without even realizing it. I occasionally run into sciatic pain and can't always remember the initial injury.

Definitely sounds like sciatica. The best thing to do for that is lay on your back with your feet on the floor and your knees bent. Keeping your knees together, rotate them to one side and hold for 30 seconds, then do the same on the other side. Also, lift one leg at a time with your knee to your chest and hold for 30 seconds. Those stretches take some of the pressure off the nerve and help to realign everything.

Thanks for this information. I will definitely perform these moves and keep them in mind. I guess I will also have to do some Google search to learn more about sciatica.

You're welcome. I hope it helps and that you feel better. That kind of nerve pain can very literally be a pain in the hind end. You should have no trouble at all finding all kinds of information about sciatica online. Good luck!

Does your back hurt too? It could be sciatica, but you should also consider that the pain could be coming from your kidney. That can hurt from your back down your leg. I hope you feel better soon!

Ouch! How are you feeling now? Is the pain going away? If not I hope you called your doctor. There might be something else wrong. My dad has the same pain and he is seeing a specialist next week.
