Natural supplement to improve memory and concentration?

I have ADHD but I refuse to use the drugs they gave me before. They did help, but they killed my appetite and I ended up dehydrated because the medication took away my sense of thirst, also. There must be natural herbs or supplements that can help with ADHD - do you know of any?

Fish oil has been shown in studies to dramatically improve focus and memory (and behavior in kids). Do a little research first on balancing your Omega-3's and Omega-6's. It is usually recommended that you take another supplement with the fish oil for maximum benefit. I think evening primrose oil is one option.

I read that chamomile, valerian, and gingko biloba may be helpful for ADHD. These herbs are said to have a calming effect and help the brain to focus and concentrate.

I am a big believer in fish oil. Just think of how much of the earth is covered by water. With that many fish as part of Mother Nature's plan, they have to be good for you. It's the stuff of which the planet is made.
