Can I still harvest leaves or does this mean it's too late for them to be still good? I was thinking of bringing the pot inside for the winter, but I'm not sure if I can do that with basil or not. Does anyone here grow basil and can tell me if this is a good idea or not?

Yes you can still harvest the leaves. If you don't want to use the blossoms, cut them off. That will encourage the plant to get bushy. I've never tried to keep basil during the winter but if you do bring it inside, please let us know how it worked.

My mother's basil did so well this summer that is is thinking of bringing the plant inside. I am not sure how that will work, but it would be nice to have fresh basil year round!

Have you ever tried a terrarium? I'm currently growing a bunch of stuff in my first terrarium, including basil.
