Mold and Mildew

I spent one whole day wiping mold and mildew off some furniture that has been stored for a long time. The next day I had the worst headache you can imagine. I'm sure it was from breathing all that mold. What could I have done to prevent this?

I would probably have worn latex gloves and a mask. You should never handle mold without safety gear. It can make you really sick. You are lucky that all you ended up with was a headache.

Wow! I didn't realize it was that serious freshfoodie. Thanks for the advice. Next time I'll wear the gloves and the mask. I have both in the cabinet but just didn't think about putting them on. Do you know if black mold is worse than white mold? I sure did clean lots of each.
