I have heard that flax seed is really good for the heart. I have been putting it on all my meals. Dashing it on like a salt. Anyone know what the proper flax seed does is?

It is full of good oils, much like the fatty oils found in fish, it also acts as a filler and bulker and is great for digestion
Some of the giant list of flax seed oil benefits includes:

- Reduces the risk of cancer
- Helps lower cholesterol
- Helps lower blood pressure
- Protects against heart disease
- Aids the growth of healthy hair and nails
- Promotes healthy skin
etc

I have noticed!

You know I have noticed that I do feel better these days. My skin also seems to be much healthier than it used to be! What is a good does of this... how much is too much?

There were a few things on that list, that seems to plague members of my family.

Currently, I include not only oatmeal but also fish oil supplements in my diet...now I think I may start using flax seed also.

I must have been using it incorrectly. I'll try again mixing it in with my other foods. I don't like sprinkling it on top, not a lover of the taste. But when the benefits are spelled out like that, it needs to be done.
