ear checkup

I have a feeling I am due for a hearing checkup. My ears are great as my family doctor states, the cleanest he usually sees but I am having some issues. Has anyone had an ear checkup recently? Is it the same as when you are a child in school and they test you?

I can't actually remember the last time I had an ear examination. I haven't had any ear problems that's why, and I guess many of us don't 'listen' to our ears as much as we do to other body parts. About your question, I suppose the procedure is the same for both adults and children. I am not sure.

I had a hearing test a few years ago. You still go into a room and they put these earphone things on your ears. They then play sounds and tones. You have to raise your hand when you hear it.

I am going to try and get a hold of my family doctor this coming week since he took an early vacation for Labor Day. I found this little test online and tried it, failing miserably.
