Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is a big help when you get upset. I find that if I just close my eyes, take at least 5 deep breaths and release slowly, I can usually calm down enough to carry on. Anyone else do this?

Yes, I do! I am not the type who blurts out their feelings and thoughts when upset or frustrated, so deep breathing is a technique I have adopted to release my pent-up emotions.

Deep breathing, eyes closed and counting to ten are all great forms of calming yourself down. I've also been known to get up and walk outside for a few minutes. There's something about the change of scenery that seems to make everything better.
