Bleeding from behind (dog)

My cousins dog seems to be bleeding a bit from her behind. She is 10 years old and it just started. Every couple of hours a drop of blood will drop out. What could this be? She will be taking her to the vet this week.

Believe it or not, the dog could have hemorrhoids, just like a person can. Unfortunately, it could also be any number of other things that could be more serious, so I would get the poor dog to a vet as soon as possible. This could be an emergency and waiting could be fatal.

Hemorrhoids are not something I even thought about. The dog hasn't been bleeding since last weekend. She pushed the vet visit off. I told her she is crazy and she should still get her looked at.
