I like ginger especially its aromatic smell. It is my favorite spice to flavor food. I read somewhere that ginger has several health benefits. It enhances blood circulation, cures/relieves digestive problems and arthritis.
My parents have always incorporated ginger into foods that were served for lunch or dinner. Not sure if it's helped me as I've grown older but I don't have any problems with blood circulation, digestive problems or arthritis.
Most spicy herbs are thought to be very beneficial in blood circulation. My mother always place ginger on her stew for it to smell good. She would even crush the ginger for the juice to really come out before placing it in the stew.
Thanks for the information. The only thing I knew about ginger was that it warms you body and melts off excessive mucus, so I often take ginger tea in cold weather.
