Arthritis Woes

My family has a terrible history of arthritis and I guess I'm not going to be any different. I had to go get an injection in the base of my left thumb today and it's killing me. I know eventually it's going to feel better but right now it isn't feeling too good. Does anyone have any tips I could use for pain relief?

Have you ever thought of taking some form of glucosamine? I'm right there with you in the inherited arthritis line and I've been using glucosamine for quite some time now. So far, so good. Every now and then, I'll get a twinge or a pain but nothing like my mom goes through.
