Are Smoothies Good for You?

I am in the dieting spirit again, and I keep losing focus. Well, people around me aren't exactly helping much. My family say that smoothies, ones made with bananas milk, a teaspoon of honey, and whatever else fruit or oatmeal I decide to put in, are actually bad for me. I have an inkling that this is inaccurate, but am I right?
 
I'm not much of a smoothie drinker but I know there are a lot of healthy ones out there for you. Mostly it depends on how you make them and what you put in them. You might do a research on line for healthy ones. :)

I am big on smoothies, but I go for the homemade ones because I know what's in them. It doesn't take a genius to know that the smoothies served in cafes and restaurants are loaded with sugar and other high-calorie ingredients.

I think it depends on your definition of "good for you" as well as what you put in your smoothies. The smoothies you describe sound very healthful to me. It sounds like you are putting in a good mix of nutritious elements.
