Can we use acupuncture for any ailment or is it useful for certain identified ailments? Since, it involves usage of needles, can it be used for curing eye ailments. I'm confused. Please enlighten me.

Have a great day
There is so much it can be used for. I was told it could be used to treat eye ailments by someone who does practice it.

For many of us AMD and Glaucoma are real concerns, and who/where to go for eye treatment is something that shouldn't be taken lightly.

I came across a website that not only educates someone about both the ailment and acupuncture as a treatment, but also helps you locate a nearby practitioner.

In my view eye problems are to be best referred to eye specialists rather than acupuncturists. Since, acupuncture involves piercing of needles, its treatment of the eye problems is ruled out. Better consult an eye specialist for problems related to the eye.

I have never seen or heard of someone doing this but I doubt that would mean it has not been attempted or thought about before now. My friend just had some work done and there was no talk of anything like this done by the doc.

My mother used to go to a doctor who also did acupuncture for arthritis of the spine. She got quite a bit of relief from the treatments and he had quite a practice. I know every time she went, there was always a lobby full of people and people would come in and out all of the time.
