Abscess

My cat keeps getting into fights with other cats, he is neutered so it isn't that, and every time he ends up with an abscess. Is there anything I can put on the sores beforehand so they don't end up abscessed?

I do not know of any natural way, but cleaning the wounds as soon as possible with antibacterial soap and then rubbing some antibiotic cream can prevent infection.

Oh my. If he is neutered and still getting into fights something is wrong. Either he is having too many cats invade his territory or the other way around. As far as the abcess, cleaning and treating with antibiotic ointment or salve is about the only thing you can do.
