Default Stuck in the pond

We have a pond in our front yard and a few nights ago when we let the dog out, she fell through the ice and got stuck. It took us almost 20 minutes to find her when she didn't come when we called. She was so cold, but she seems to have recovered fine. It scared the crap out of us though.

Oh my, I bet it did give you a scare. That would have scared me too. I'm glad she ended up ok. I think I would keep a close eye on her from now on when she goes out at night to go to potty.

I am so glad that you found her and that she was unharmed, other than being pretty cold anyway. It could have been so much worse.

That is one reason why I do not want any type of water area on our property, not counting the pets we are pretty clumsy too. I could just imagine what would happen if once of us got stuck in it.

When we had a dog, I always worried about him falling through the ice because he was a real explorer. I'm glad no long term harm came to him.

I'm so glad the outcome for you was a good one. I worry about all the animals when the lakes and ponds get those thin ice crusts on them. We humans aren't always around to come to the rescue.
