I try not to eat after 8:00 in the evening, or earlier if I know I'm going to bed early. We also try to eat within half an hour of getting up in the morning. I know I feel better if I have mini-meals throughout the day instead of two big ones.
I was just reading where essential oils like jasmine and ylang-ylang cause one to go into an excited or euphoric state. It's advised to use them instead of tranquilizers and sleeping pills. I'd like to know about others since I do have trouble sleeping sometimes.
We have the chance to get a baby Jack Russell Terrier. Are they hard to keep healthy? I hear they make excellent pets, and we're excited about having a new puppy in the house. What brands of dog food are healthiest these days for this breed?
I have read where imaging therapy is a great way of relaxing. It involves lying still, shutting out everything around you, and trying to conjure up mental images of pleasant experiences, places or situations. I try to do this three or four times a week.
I finally bought the flax seed and have found it's easy to put in all sorts of things. We sprinkle it on cereals, put it in muffins and add it to salads. It's already making a difference.
I actually enjoy being on the treadmill as long as I have something else to do at the same time. I'm not very good at reading on one, but I turn the television up loud and watch television.
The WaterPik user bothered me the most. I know pipes can have all sorts of bacteria in them, especially older pipes in houses. If a solution is sterile, I wouldn't hesitate to use it, but straight from the tap and then through a WaterPik is not wise.
My stepmother will be pleased to hear of this and delighted beyond words if it works. She is continually having sinus infections and can't find a way to get rid of them.
While we haven't made candles out of old crayons, we have tried one of those kits where you melt the crayons and make new crayons out of the old ones. The kids enjoyed the process. They learned some things about color mixing, too.
I'm so glad the outcome for you was a good one. I worry about all the animals when the lakes and ponds get those thin ice crusts on them. We humans aren't always around to come to the rescue.
It bears repeating, according to "The Doctors" program recently. Questions were raised about bacteria getting into the brain with the use of Neti Pots from the water in a few places. The show stressed the importance of not using tap water without boiling it first, just in case. I read here that...
Dangers of diet soft drinks
I continue to read about how dangerous drinking diet soft drinks are. Now studies have shown they are a huge contributor to heart attacks. I have got to get off these things and I'm so addicted. I need to drink more water. Will power, where art thou?
There are lots of videos on You Tube and elsewhere on the web where you can get a free education and demonstrations on aromatherapy and making your own soaps and fizzies. You might want to go the free route.
I didn't realize that drinking soft drinks depleted your body of water. I drink way too much diet pop, and definitely not enough water. I will go out of my way for the next month to drink more water.
Cayenne and benefits
I, too, have heard the health benefits of cayenne. Although I don't like spicy foods, I do use a little cayenne whenever I make chili or soups, just in case we can benefit. My husband loves spicy, so it's only a problem for me.
