    Citrus

It doesn't sound like you're missing anything. Being brand particular about your OJ is no biggie. And as far as the fragrance goes, I think it's just fine that you only like a pure, unadulterated citrus scent. That means you have good taste - you don't like the fake stuff :)

    Pistachios

Pistachios and cashews are my favorite - I could eat them all day long. I think the healthier nuts are almonds, walnuts, etc. I'm sure pistachios can be beneficial, but like anything else, only in moderation.

    Cleanse for weight lose

I've seen a lot of salons around here selling these kits that are basically what Galileo was talking about - glorified laxatives. I fast a couple times a year and drink nothing but homemade vegetable stock, but that's different than a lot of the stuff that is being sold commercially. These kits...

    Less allergies?

They may have less allergens due to there being less chemicals than manufactured soap. Either way, if you make your own you should have a fair amount of control and be able to keep out anything you know irritates your skin.

    Lavender oil for scars

I wonder if it works for stretch marks. They are like scars, right? Regardless, I have a c-section scar that I wouldn't mind doing something about. I'll look into this - thanks for the tip :)

    Not wearing glasses

That's what I thought too, Richard. Nearsighted means that you can't see things close up, right? I would say as long as he does wear them to read, he should be okay. Unless, of course, the eye doctor has ordered something different.

    Christmas scents

I think black cherry is one of my favorite Christmas scents. There's something deep and rich about it that reminds me of the holidays. Pine is also something that comes to mind, but most pine candles I've ever smelled are a little too pungent for me. And, of course, as mentioned, all the cookie...

    Heartworm treatment

March to October - cool, thanks :) We went to the vet today and he gave me a six month supply of the chews, but I think I'm just going to give her one more treatment this year and save the rest for next year.

    Hazardous Essential Oils

I was unaware of any of them being hazardous as well. Whenever I think of something natural I think of it as good. But I guess that doesn't make much sense because poison ivy is natural, but nobody wants to roll around in it. Thanks for opening my eyes to what should have been common sense.

    Something To Note About Turmeric

I wonder how much you would have to consume in order for it to cause a problem. I use turmeric primarily when I cook Indian, so maybe two or three times a month. Surely that wouldn't be enough to have an adverse effect?

    Soak Your Veggies

I don't soak my vegetables anymore because the water quality at my house is questionable and I think it would do more harm than good. I never heard of the vinegar trick. I used to use baking soda.

And Yet Another Use For Vinegar

That's interesting. My mother-in-law has arthritis so I'll tell her to try this and let me know how it works out. I wonder how it tastes though. Sounds nasty, lol.

    Drink Water on Empty Stomach

I drink a lot of water all day long, but I don't go out of my way to drink it on an empty stomach. I think fasting occasionally is a good idea. I fast twice a year for 48 to 72 hours each time. I drink a lot of water, vegetable juice (low sodium), and vegetable broth, but I don't eat anything...

Morals and mental well being of kids

Here's an interesting article that talks about how some kids in the U.S. may not be getting what they need to develop into well adjusted, balanced individuals. The study cites lack of holding and cuddling, putting an early stop to breast feeding, kids not playing enough with other kids of...

    Exclusively yoga

Is there anyone here who does only yoga for exercise? How do you feel? I have some acquaintances who do nothing but yoga and I thought that was a little odd. There isn't much cardio involved in yoga and I think you need both for a balanced routine.
